Role Summary

We are looking for an Embedded Engineer – Audio with 5 years of experience to develop and optimize audio software and Linux drivers for embedded platforms. The role involves working with ALSA drivers, Audio DSP programming, and integrating audio solutions into embedded systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize audio software for embedded platforms.
  • Design and implement ALSA drivers for audio hardware.
  • Work with Audio DSP programming to enhance audio performance.
  • Develop and maintain Linux drivers for audio devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audio solutions into embedded systems.
  • Perform debugging and troubleshooting of audio-related software and hardware issues.
  • Optimize software performance for low-latency audio processing.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of audio systems and software.
  • Stay updated on advancements in embedded audio technology and apply to projects.
  • Document technical specifications and processes related to audio software development.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture) driver development.
  • Experience in Audio DSP programming and optimizing audio signals.
  • Expertise in Linux driver development and debugging for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with audio hardware, protocols, and audio codecs.
  • Good understanding of real-time audio processing and low-latency requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, especially related to embedded and audio issues.
  • Familiarity with audio software tools and development kits.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.

 

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
